How long have you been taking care of pets?
Since I was just 13 years of age. In 2006 I began walking dogs and pet sitting for neighbors and friends in Toronto, just as a helper. In 2012 I started working professionally as a dog walker, for Thunder's Run. And their clients I was serving were very happy with my work. So, in 2014 I started my own dog walking & pet visit services, and since then, I've been walking dogs and looking after other people's pets, as if they were my own fur-babies. This is my priority and most important activity. This is my passion.
Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
Yes, Annie ‘n Pooches is fully licensed, insured and bonded.
Who will be taking care of my pet? Do you work with others?
Your pet will always be taken care of by Annie herself. Annie 'n Pooches has no sub-contractors.
Where will you walk my dog?
Your pooch will be walked in your neighborhood and/or a nearby park.
No off-leash parks.
Will my dog be walked individually or in a group?
Annie ‘n Pooches walks are always on-leash and private. Dogs from different households will not be walked together.
Other than dog walking, do you offer any other service?
Yes, Annie 'n Pooches provides also pet visits for cats and small animals, dog boarding in her own home (small or medium to small breeds only), house check and plants watering when you are travelling.
Can you train my dog ?
Annie ‘n Pooches is not a dog training service. The walks are for the pooches enjoyment, so they can sniff as much as they want and they can choose their own route for walks. If your dog is being professionally trained, the continuing training is your professional dog trainer’s responsibility.
Do you walk dogs in any weather condition?
Yes, unless you specify weather conditions you do not want your pooch to be walked. Annie may shorten some walks, due to extreme weather conditions, either during Winter or Summer, for your pooch's safety and comfort. When a walk needs to be shortened, if you are not home, the remaining time will be spent indoors, entertaining your pooch with petting, belly and chest rubs, and play time.
Where do you keep my personal information and my key?
Annie 'n Pooches' clients privacy is extremely important and your privacy will always be protected. Your key and any personal information are always kept in a very safe and secrete place, where Annie is the only one who has access to them.
Do I need to provide anything for the walks and/or visits?
Yes, you need to provide: food for your pet, treats, bowls, a good size towel (left by the front door, for rainy or snowy days), toys, collar with updated tags, coat (if your dog needs it), muzzle (if needed), litter box for your cat, litter, medication (if needed) and cleaning supplies (in case Annie needs to clean up any pet accident inside your house).
When should I book a service?
Any service needs to be booked as soon as possible.
How should I pay you?
Cash is preferred, but payment can also be made by e-transfer.
